DDPAI X2 Pro dash cam Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • HiSilicon Processors
  • 3 Resolution Modes for Front Camera
  • Rear Camera Support
  • Built-In Capacitor
  • Parking Mode
  • Great Smartphone Compatibility

Cons:

  • Very expensive
  • No screen
DDPAI X2 Pro dashcam design:

The device is effortless to install as there is a mounting tool present on the camera itself. This allows you to easily remove and set up the device without the need for additional adhesion or tape. This makes it perfect for those who want to store their dash cameras from time to time.

There is no LCD screen, which does mean you will have to install and use the application, but it also reduces the space taken by the camera itself. Additionally, there is a rotating lens, which makes it easier to take full angle images without having to set up the device gain every time.

The package comes along with a 32 GB SD card which saves you from that expense, and there is an ingenious wireless button which you can press anytime you want to take a photo. The rear camera also uses a 6 class glass lens; however, the viewing angle leaves a little to be desired when compared with the front camera.

The digital image stabilization features ensure you take stable pictures even on rocky roads. The parking mode also allows you to conserve energy when you need less power consumption.

  • 720p Resolution For Rear Camera
  • Built-in GPS and WI-FI
  • 140 Degree Wide Angle
  • Emergency Storage Backup System
  • Remote Picture Capture Capacity
  • Amazing Mobile Application
  • OmniVision OV4689 Front Camera Sensor
  • SD card support up to 128 GB
DDPAI Pro dash cam video quality:

The front camera offers 3 modes of capture: 1440p at 25FPS, 1080p at 30 FPS, and 720p at 20FPS. The rear camera only offers the 720p resolution and with a slightly less wide angle at 120 degrees to the 140 up front.

The footage was decent, and at times, the image stabilization system did give consistent results even on difficult terrain. The camera does work well at night, but it does not offer any breakthrough results. A distinct issue is that sometimes the video would start to skip entire seconds and sometimes minutes, which can be seen as inconsistent.

DDPAI X2 Pro dash cam user-friendliness:

The mobile application is relatively easy to use, and while downloading footage, I was rarely faced with an issue. The setup is also relatively easy, and the built-in WI-FI and GPS also give users all they need. The price, however, is very high, and as there are similar dash cams on the market for lower prices, that may put users off.

Specifications:

  • Weight: 1.7 pounds
  • View Angle: 140 degree(Front) and 120 degree(Back)
  • Frame rate: 20, 25 and 30FPS
  • WI-FI Connectivity: Yes

The device is not for those looking for a first-time dash cam, rather with the high price it can only be recommended to those looking for high-end cameras. The features present in the device, however, do make this an attractive buy.
